Tony Senatore's Classic Bass Tracks
Приєднався 22 тра 2006
This channel documents the music and musicians that made me want to play the bass. I am very sorry, but I do not have tab for anything, however, if anyone needs to learn anything specific, and I have the time, I will gladly make a how to video.

Whether you took your wedding vows at City Hall before the mayor of your town at the Elvis Chapel in Las Vegas or on an altar before God, commitment is the commonality between these disparate scenarios. As we watch the tenets of Western civilization crumble before our eyes every day, it is inspiring to know that some people respect tradition. Tom Semioli and Steve Swallow are two individuals wh...

I use the word fine interchangeably with toll, because I see it more as a fine.

Original bassist: Chris Squire. I’m playing a rare Hyak bass made by ex Alembic employees.

Alice Cooper : How You Gonna See Me Now
One of the few covers of this tune I’ve listened to that doesn’t rush the timing, and gets the space and feel between the notes right. Well done.
Love it!
Nice, and cool Gigantor
Very cool man! That bass is sick too
Eraserhead
You played that song nicely.
💯
Thanks! ✌️🙂🎻😎
Thanks! ✌️🙂🎻😎
I’ve never heard the sound of one of these, very cool.
do you have the tabs for this song or some sort of notation? Thanks
I’m sorry, but I do not
I still slap and when I do my bandmates and the audience love it. I don't care if the P Bass w flatwounds crowd doesn't think it's cool anymore. There are tunes where slapping is king and some where it is inappropriate. The key is to be able to tell the difference.
Old guys rule !!! LOL
Looks like so much fun to play. One day I'll learn how to slap and pop. I guess I need to focus on the basics.
Nice! BLT is awesome. Very nice bass too!
Thanks!
Awesome !!
Thanks!!
Love this! Thanks for sharing. It’s definitely on my list to learn 🤗. Probably my favorite one in the album tho it’s hard to pick 😅
You didn't slide the pickup. Best part of that bass. Play one from 1973-79. Had that sound ! 😮
Perfekt !
Nice Gibson Bass collection! I'm 34 years old and have 25 bass guitars of which 5 are USA Gibsons: 2022 SG in Cherry Red, 2018 Thunderbird in Tobacco, 1978 G-3 I natural finish, 1977 Les Paul Triumph and a 1979 RD Artist in Tobacco Sunburst :)
does anyone know where to get tabs for this?
I don’t, but I think you can figure it out by watching my hands
Are those EMG's?
No. Stock pickup! I sold this bass .
Actually, you’re right! It did have EMG pickups
Wow! That was GREAT!
This is incredible. I struggled to find a good cover and found this better than the original. We need more bass forward mixes!
Awesome collection! The Hayek is absolutely gorgeous Brother!
I had one. Butter soft wood and plastic everywhere...
But it was good
2:46--Can't think of many top hitmakers who allowed the bass player to take the solo. But that's the affection Randy Bachman has for his buddy, Fred Turner. The last of the great BTO hit singles, expertly played by Tony here!
Thank you. I was heavily influenced by BTO. Thanks for commenting!
@@senny4405 You're welcome, Tony! Just found your channel & was listening in on your take of Dee Murray's bass work on Philadelphia Freedom....excellent! Subscribed and looking forward to listening to your work!
I’m leaving this comment on 31 May 2024. Within the last year, I became aware of what it is about the P-bass that makes it sound so rich and full. The split coil pickup is in fact a humbucker like those EMGs. No explain why the XL two is so capable of emulating a P-bass. Now, I’ve got a question, Tony. Have you ever investigated getting the string adapter for the top end of that base that would enable you to use regular strings that are fastened at the nut instead of the double ball ones? A different user of that model who I played with here in New York from 2016 to 2021 informed me about that adaptor. Now for something totally irrelevant. Watching the video, I noticed something about those flat wounds that I have noticed whenever I looked at an upright bass. They’re pretty reflective. The overhead light is easily bouncing off the strings. Must be the nylon that they’re made out of.
Excellent
Thank you Joe!
Thanks! 🎻✌️🙂😎
Thanks!
Great job.. Tone is spot on! Love this bassline. Mel Schacher 💪
Genial!!
My favorite song
Love it man! Thanks so much. Was looking for “In The Mood” by the same band , Alphaville, if you ever want to give it a try, would be great, thanks!
Fine work!!! Specially difficult on a fretless axe ! Glorious times, before the massive sequencing madness along the 80s
Thanks for making this. Very helpful to me for learning the song. I had one day to learn it before playing at a show!
I’m glad you found it. People that don’t have Jellyfish in their lives are missing out
You make it look so easy.
Totally awesome!
Kind of reminds me of Death Cult's God's Zoo (these times) just a little bit. Another awesome bass cover.
My fave GF song. Awesome!
It would be nice to hear Geddy Lee cover this tune.
Roger Daltry made a great cover of this tune.
solid!
GHS has long scale strings available.
Thanks again
Good job man !!!!👍👍👍
I need more Tony!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙏😊👍❤️
Great choice, great job!! And a beautiful bass!
